1. Stay Hydrated
Summer heat and sweat can leave your body dehydrated. Gulp down at least 8-10 glasses of water every day. This rehydrates your skin and enables your body to function better. If you are bored with drinking water, always opt for fresh fruit juices and natural drinks like lemon juice, tender coconut water and etc..,. You can also add some fruits like strawberry or lemon into the water to enhance the flavor of the water.
Note: Never drink extremely chilled water as soon as you come from the hot sun. It can wreak havoc on your health.
2. Start Eating Your SPF – I Mean It!

Try choosing a water-based or gel-based sunscreen as a heavy sunscreen lotion leaves your skin heavy and oily. Whenever possible try to cover your face either with a dupatta or with a cap when you go outdoors.
Exfoliate your skin a bit often to keep it smooth and silky. Make your own exfoliation lotion using oatmeal, milk, and yogurt.
To make your own exfoliating scrub, you need ¼ cup of sugar, ½ cup finely ground coffee beans, 20 drops of any essential oil (Eucalyptus oil), 2 tablespoons of sesame oil, a tablespoon of salt and extra virgin olive oil. Mix all these ingredients and scrub your skin for at least 10 to 15 seconds. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and apply a moisturizer of your choice.
7. Pamper Your Eyes
Summer can be harsh on your fragile skin around your eyes. Apply sunscreen lotion around your eyes as well. Wear sunglasses as it can block at least 99% of UVA and UVB rays thus preventing tan and wrinkles around your eyes.
Keep two slices of cucumber on your eyes. Else dip two cotton pads into the blended mixture of cucumber and mint leaves and keep them on your eyes. Believe me, they really smooth and pamper your eyes.
